Two types of Master Class are presented here. On request other subjects can be addressed.
They can be taught in French, German or English, as a conference or an interactive lesson, depending on the number of students and the duration (1 to 4 hours)
 
1. How to practice a jazz standard (beginner to advanced level, any instrument)
-How to use free web tools to lear more about the origin of the selected standard and listen to several versions...
-Analysis of the score, study of different approaches of the melody to create a personal version.
-Working on improvisation (part more or less extensive depending on the level of the students)
 
2. Time and rhythm in improvisation (intermediate to advanced level, any instrument)
-The inner time and the mental work
-Practicing with a metronome
-The rhythm in improvisation
 
Triophone, Didier Hoffmann (Drums), Pilou Wurtz (Bass) and Franck Wolf (Saxophones), is a band founded in 1996.
 
They are playing original compositions and some special arrangements, wroten for the band. Melodic jazz, and great grooves, to enjoy without modération! "CD Un jour ailleurs"
Franck Wolf Trio, with Marcel Loeffler on accordion and Davide Petrocca on double bass was founded in late 2011. The complicity between Franck Wolf and Marcel Loeffler was born a few years ago at a private duet session. Franck and Davide Petrocca have played in duo at the festival Jazz d'Or in 2002 , again the meeting was extraordinary .
 
In October 2011, Franck had the idea of bringing these great musicians to create this trio together. They recorded their first album, Bol d' Air in January 2012 in Uhrwiller (France). They basically play compositions written by Franck and Marcel and some original arrangements.
 
The repertoire with André "Dédé" Ceccarelli was created May 25, 2013 , during a concert following a residency. This concert was enormously successful , both for the audience and organizers. 3 titles of this concert are available on the album "Franck Wolf & friends - Live 2013-2017"
The Jazz-Funk repertoire played by the Franck Wolf Quintet is from the album "Eleven to Heaven" recorded in Paris in 2007, with Franck Agulhon, Diego Imbert, Daniel Zimmermann and Benoît Sourisse.
 
For the stageperformance, Franck called his friends among the most talented musicians:
- Jean-Marc ROBIN drums, tour companion in the Bireli Lagrene Quartet.
- Davide Petrocca double bass virtuoso who participated in the album Franck Wolf Trio "Bol d'air".
- Gregory OTT on keyboards, longtime friend, shining particularly within his own trio for nearly 10 years.
- Guillaume NUSS trombone, jazz soloist prize at Jazz à la Defense with Ozma.
Mieko Miyazaki
Known and recognized worldwide for his remarkable melodic sense enriched current shades, as well as for its style combining singing and koto (instrument consists of 13 strings stretched over a long wooden resonance box), Mieko Miyazaki artist has diversify her art over the years.

Franck Wolf invites Charlier and Sourisse
André Charlier (drums) and Benoît Sourisse (organ) form an inseparable tandem for more than 25 years, 7 albums and close collaborations with Jerry Bergonzi, Kenny Garrett, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Didier Lockwood ... Franck proposed to these two exceptional musicians to join him in putting together a trio repertoire made up largely of the compositions of the 3 musicians.
Franck Wolf
Saxophonist from the age of eight , arranger and composer Franck Wolf studied saxophone and percussion at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg - France.
 
Since 2004, Franck has participated alongside Biréli Lagrène, to 4 albums and a DVD released by Dreyfus Jazz and Universal, up to 400 concerts in New York, Montreal , Moscow , Vienna, Marciac , Den Haag, Istanbul, Paris ... He currently plays in the guitarist 's trio, quartet or quintet.
 
Founding member of straSax and Triophone, he created in 2011 the Franck Wolf Trio with Marcel Loeffler on accordion and Davide Petrocca on double bass. (CD "Bol d’air" released in february 20113).
 
Since 2014 Mieko Miyazaki and Franck Wolf together make the public discover the sublime harmony between the koto, representatif Japanese instrument, and saxophone. (CD "Dankin" released in june 2015)
